SkyTeam Alliance Delta Air Lines

International airline alliance SkyTeam is to roll out a global premium service for its top-paying customers – based on a package offered by US airline Delta since 2010.

The SkyPriority service will standardize the luxury travel experience for customers flying with SkyTeam members at over 1,000 airports around the world.

The service includes specifically prioritized check-in areas, baggage drop-off points, ticket offices, transfer desk, boarding lines and baggage handling for customers flying First or Business class.

The designer photographed models Mirte Maas and Mathias Bergh inside a Palm Springs, California private residence in the new ads.

One shot (pictured below) shows the swedish male model biting Maas’s ankle as she poses in a purple jewel coloured silk suit from his SS/12 collection.

Legendary Italian designer Pininfarina teased a forthcoming sports sedan this week, showing just one tiny part of a futuristic-looking, Star Trek-inpired face.

Its new Cambiano will be a luxury sports sedan, “conceived with great attention to the environment, both as to the engine and as to the materials’ choice.”

The model (named after its hometown) has been conceived to celebrate 30 years of the Pininfarina Cambiano Styling Center and 10 years of the Engineering Center.

Rising London-based designer Mary Katrantzou has collaborated with French label Longchamp for a collection of Eastern-influenced handbags.

Designed with the vision “When East meets West”, the line continues Katrantzou’s signature patterned aesthetic, and includes an array of totes adorned in Eastern-inspired motifs such as orchids and paper lanterns.

With a pre-exclusive launch scheduled January 23, the line will be available at Parisian boutique Colette, whose e-commerce site offers international shipping.

A Renaissance palace grafted onto the top of an ancient Roman theatre is up for sale in Rome for €32 million ($42 million).

Its asking price is thought to make it the most expensive property currently on sale in the Italian capital, and one of the most expensive in Europe.

The 11,000 sq ft property has frescoed staterooms, a ballroom, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a library, a dining room, a terrace, a separate penthouse and cellars.

The latest Boxster is said to be considerably lighter than the previous version, and uses a revised chassis and direct injection flat-six petrol engines.

The Kubang fills a hole in Maserati’s product line nine years after the company first showed a sport luxury SUV concept car at the 2003 Detroit auto show.

“The Kubang concept creates discontinuity by entering a new segment and continuity by maintaining the integrity of Maserati’s DNA,” the company said.

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen spent the New Year holidays onboard his luxury yacht “Octopus” which sailed to the Maldives and was anchored in Addu Atoll.

While his private jet landed in Gan International Airport, he was flown to his private luxury yacht via helicopter. The Octopus, built by Lürssen in 2003, is currently ranked as the world’s 12th largest yacht, just behind the Emir of Qatar’s 436-ft. Al Mirqab.

The Octopus, designed by the famed Espen Oeino, features two helicopters, two submarines, seven tenders, a swimming pool and a basketball court.

Paul Allen has recently snagged the biggest berth at the upcoming London Olympics for the Octopus.

Rolls Royce Hood Emblem

Rolls-Royce announced Monday that sales rocketed to an all-time high in 2011, driven by demand from China and the United States.

The group, which is owned by German auto giant BMW, said in a statement that production leapt 31 percent to 3,538 cars in 2011.

That was the highest-ever output in the 107-year history of Rolls-Royce. The 2011 performance beat the previous record of 3,347 cars set in 1978.

Honda has unveiled a concept version of its NSX supercar at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The US arm of the Japanese automaker showcased the Acura NSX January 9, confirming that the concept was a preview of a new NSX model destined for production within the next three years.

That means that the NSX, regarded by many as one of the best performance cars ever produced, could be reborn by 2015 — albeit with some new twists.

The all-new design pushes Lexus further into sports car territory and could provide a rival for established names such as Porsche if approved for production.

With a low profile, large wheels and futuristic running lights, the LF-LC is clearly designed for ‘serious’ drivers, with quad exhaust pipes and tail lamps inspired by a jet afterburner at takeoff.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts opened its tallest St. Regis property last week in Shenzhen, China, with plans to continue its global expansion in 2012.

Following recent openings in Bangkok, Tianjin and Sanya Yalong Bay, The St. Regis Shenzhen marks the brand’s fourth hotel opening in Asia in the last six months.

The St. Regis now occupies floors 72-100 of the landmark Kingkey 100 building, the tallest building in the city.
