Acclaimed Actress Gong Li is Cartier High Jewellery’s Newest Global Ambassador

Gong Li joins her fellow ambassadors such as Lily Collins, Ella Balinska and Jackson Wang in celebrating Cartier’s timeless style and craftsmanship.

French jeweller Cartier welcomes international actress Gong Li as its latest global High Jewellery ambassador. In her new role, she will collaborate with the Maison on various events and appearances.

A regular at many red carpet events, the actress is famous both in China and the rest of the world. Her acting accolades include winning Best Actress across Berlin International Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, The Gold Lion award, the Golden Palm Award, and the Best Actress and Best Artistic Achievement at the 24th Montreal World Film Festival. With over 50 acting awards, she has served as jury and president for multiple international film festivals.

Gong’s first major breakthrough was the 1987 film called, “Red Sorghum,” which was directed by acclaimed Chinese director Zhang Yimou. And since she has undertaken numerous roles in a plethora of films that include “Memoirs of a Geisha”, “Hannibal Rising” and more recently in 2019 in Disney’s remake of “Mulan”.

Gong joins other global ambassadors from the Maison such as Lily Collins, Ella Balinska and Jackson Wang. In the past months, a number of luxury brands have appointed new ambassadors and they include Kpop star Lisa from Blackpink and Chinese actor Yang Yang for Bvlgari, Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat for Panerai and Kpop phenomenon BTS for Louis Vuitton.
