French shoe label Roger Vivier has revealed the launch of a mini-me footwear line, following the increasing popularity of designer childrenswear.
The French footwear label will introduce a line called Roger Vivier – Jeune Fille, or, in English, Roger Vivier – Girl, to its international stores in March.
The line will be a reworking of the house’s brightly colored patent leather adult ballerinas, which carry the brand’s signature buckle.

Nearly 8,000 customers across America weighed in on 23 designer shoes in the online Footwear News Sexy Shoes contest.
The winning pair, by French footwear designer Christian Louboutin, was revealed during a special event on October 14 at the upscale New York department store Saks Fifth Avenue.
Louboutin took the grand prize for his Swarovski crystal-embellished Maralena mesh peep-toe pumps ($2445).

The stilettos are designed by Bruno Frisoni, the creative director of the French luxury cobblers. They were unveiled during the Paris Haute Couture season this week.
They feature an assortment of life’s little luxuries such as 24 ct gold-coated mesh, semi-precious stones, jet, satin ribbons, silk chiffon, diamanté and crocodile skin fashioned into dainty rosettes.
The “Dovima”, an 11cm, spike-heeled confection of gilded silk mesh and jewels, is embellished with a pair of rose pink-dyed, taxidermy birds with gold and crystal heads.
