Editors of the US edition of Condé Nast Traveler have released their picks for the best new hotels of 2014, curating a list of 33 properties around the world.

Divided into seven categories, the 18th edition of the hot list was whittled down from 510 new hotels spanning 93 countries.

The list represents the best in new properties that provide a sense of place, personality and ‘intuition,’ defined as the anticipation of guest needs.
