New details have been released for the Symphony of the Seas, Royal Caribbean‘s 26th cruise ship, which is being billed as the largest in the world. Cruisers keen to inaugurate the mammoth vessel on its maiden voyages can now look up the European and Caribbean itineraries that will start next summer. The ship can accommodate 5,494 passengers.

This week, the company also broke ground on the 170,000-square-foot terminal “Crown of Miami” in Florida, that will serve as home for both the Symphony of the Seas and sister ship the Allure of the Seas. Set to be completed in October 2018, the Crown of Miami at PortMiami’s Terminal A will be a LEED-certified space and will see 1.8 million Royal Caribbean passengers pass through its halls per year.

The ship is estimated to be delivered in April 2018, before it sets sail on itineraries in Europe with ports of call that include Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Provence, Florence, Rome and Naples. She will then set off on seven-night trips cruising Eastern and Western Caribbean in the fall, departing from Miami.

The Symphony of the Seas will feature 28 more staterooms than her sister ship the Harmony of the Seas which, for now, boasts the title of world’s largest cruise ship. Onboard attractions will include some of the ground-breaking features of sister ships, like the Ultimate Abyss, billed as the tallest slide at sea with a 10-storey drop.

There’s also the FlowRider, a 40-foot-long surf simulator, 40-foot rock climbing wall and an ice rink. The ship will also feature a replica of New York’s Central Park, with paths lined with 12,000 trees and plants. Allure of the Seas’ 2018-2019 itineraries will open for sale later this month.
