On Newsstands: WOW Malaysia Summer 21
The height of summer brings us the arrival of vibrant times and new timepieces!
After a couple of months of intense research and creative writing, we are now proudly presenting our Summer issue of World of Watches Malaysia for your reading pleasure! The midpoint of the year often relates to the exciting arrival of timepieces to our shores after their announcements in Spring and it is no different in 2021 – albeit with some wonderful surprises along the way. The wait has been excruciating but now, let us lift your blues during lockdown as we share what detailed watch-related information we have gathered in the past quarter of the year!
Our cover story this issue tackles Rado’s ground-breaking Captain Cook High Tech Ceramic. We see how this amazing Swiss brand continues to sprout new branches for their lines of watches with fresh ideas and concepts to keep them going strong. Read our issue to witness the High Tech Ceramic in all its intricate glory!
Our pop-up special feature is graced by the legendary Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. In it, we take a bird’s eye view on the history of the most famous timepiece that has gone to space and look at today’s version of the revitalized Moonwatch.
With the coming of 2021’s lineup of Pasha de Cartier’s, we peruse the lineup of this now popular collection and how it evolved from the time when it first made its grand entrance in 1985.
Grand Seiko’s 9SA5 movement deserves a closer look with the twin masterpieces of the SLGH005 and SLGH007. Let us showcase what may be the new flagship for the premier Japanese house of watchmaking.
We took the opportunity earlier this year to have a conversation with leaders from various brands including the CEO of Parmigiani, Guido Terreni and the COO of Officine Panerai, Jérôme Cavadini. In this issue we share their insights and the direction these brands are taking in the near future.
As with our other issues, we gathered a range of new launches to highlight for your attention. They include timepieces from Seiko, Jacob & Co., Junghans, Maurice Lacroix, Corum and Mido. Delve into our issue to find out if your favourite brand is featured along with them!
As we cross over into the second half of the year, we continue to strive to do our best and bring you fascinating happenings and new launches for the year. Our Summer issue will no doubt be engrossing for seasoned watch lovers as well as newcomers to horology.
