Sometime a deal sounds almost too good to be true….

Just months after launching one of this year’s most lavishly expensive holidays – an epic USD 1 million trip “Around the World” – the Leading Hotels of the World is celebrating its 80th anniversary by passing on some incredible discounts to its guests.

To commemorate its founding year (1928), at 12 noon GMT (8am Eastern Standard Time) on October 1, 2008, they will release a limited number of the world’s most-coveted hotel rooms at the unprecedented rate of $19.28 per night.

Guests have the choice of staying at nearly 100 of its 430 member hotels at a discount of more than 95% off their average standard rate of US$450.

For 80 minutes only, registered consumers will be able to secure the $19.28 rate on some of the world’s most beautiful and exclusive properties in more than 30 countries worldwide including Hotel Raphael in Paris, the Langham in Hong Kong or London, Banyan Tree in Bangkok, Grand Hotel Miramare in Portofino (Italy), the Taleon Imperial Hotel in St, Petersburg (Russia), the Alex Hotel in New York, Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin, The Gleneagles in Scotland, The Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, Marquis Los Cabos in Mexico, or Alvear Palace Hotel in Buenos Aires.

You can pre-register to save time and have a better chance of securing a room at this price at www.lhw.com/1928 (first come, first served). Travel dates for this special offer are between 1 November – 15 December 2008 and guests can book for a maximum of two nights only.

Even if you’re staying at the hotel in your own town….. why not spend 20 bucks for living fancy ^_^
