Leading Japanese hotelier, Fujita Kanko, revealed exciting plans for a glamping site near Mt.Fuji. Apart its picturesque location at one the most breathtaking mountain of the country, the glamping site also promises a myriad of luxury services.

A 90-minute drive from the center of Tokyo, the campsite ‘Fujino Kirameki Fuji Gotemba’ is a fitting example of sustainable luxury. The entire property expands over a 4 acre land, and provides a panoramic view of Mt.Fuji, in addition to several luxe amenities.

The campsite houses 20 lush cabins, all of which are fully air-conditioned, furbished with a private toilet, shower, outdoor jet bath and an outdoor deck with a dedicated grill and fire place. With a dedicated children’s play area, dog run, event space and shop, making Fujino very family friendly, a perfect weekend getaway in Japan.

Rates start from 30,000 yen per pax (SGD $380) , including breakfast and dinner. Staying true to the exceptional standards of Japanese hospitality, breakfast will be delivered personally in a picnic basket at a chosen time. Dinner will be a gourmet course meal, delivered personally to each cabin. Guests can also opt for half-prepared or raw ingredients to cook outdoors for a complete adventure experience, with various add-ons available including a range of alcoholic drinks.

Although most of guests are locals and Japanese, the campsite is also becoming increasingly popular with international tourists. Akira Segawa, President and CEO of Fujita Kanko states that the company “intend[s] to keep evolving and expanding our offerings to meet the future needs of the tourism market.”

Fujita Kanko is also expected to unveil another glamping brand in association with Nordisk, a Danish manufacturer of outdoor equipment. A joint venture with its Japanese subsidiary, Nordisk Japan, the hotelier is set to open “Nordisk Village Goto Islands” in Nagasaki Prefecture in August this year.
