Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the Ligue 1 football club whose members include famous players such as Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé, has once again announced that they will be working with Jordan Brand this year. The football club’s past collaborations saw it worked on the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5, and Air Jordan 6. For the upcoming lineup, PSG has set its sights on the Air Jordan 7 Retro. Official images of the impending collab have made their way online but the release date is still undisclosed.

From the images, sneakerheads will be quick to notice that the PSG’s iteration of the Air Jordan 7 resembles the proclaimed Air Jordan 7 “Olympic”. White is the PSG’s club colour as it is for the U.S National Team’s but what sets them apart is the missing silver accents seen on the “Olympic”.

Upon looking at the new shoes, most prominent to the eyes are the transparent mesh windows on the mid-foot and ankle panels. On the heels, the “9” on the “Olympic” version has been replaced with the Fleur-de-lis insignia. To liven up the otherwise monochromic design, red and navy accents are included, in addition to the golden Jumpman branding. Peering into the interior, you will see the same red colour lining the shoes. Appearing on the insoles is the phase, “Ici C’est Paris” — translating to “This is Paris”, which are thundered by fans in support of PSG during a match.
