This time, Montblanc is back again introducing an exceptional brilliant pen design, made to honour the Great Characters, The Beatles with a Special Edition Ballpoint.
It all started in the early 1960s, when ‘Beatlemania’ bursts into a popular culture and achieved progressive success as the group’s music started to be more explored and appreciated by mainstream music lovers. Led by primary songwriters John Lennon and Paul, McCartney, other band members include George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
Montblanc Honours The Beatles
Created by Montblanc, this striking and usual Special Edition Ballpoint embodies the inspiration and ideas shared by the counterculture of the 1960s through the four Great Characters, The Beatles. Still widely regarded as one of the most influential 4-piece rock band, The Cone by Montblanc is the newest edition to the brand’s existing range of writing instrument.
The Cone is inspired by the button of the mixing table at the famous Abbey Road studios, while the cap top is inspired by the studio’s microphone. Featuring the clip with ruthenium-coating, it is symbolic to the iconic mustache of the Beatles on their portrait. And as shown in the picture above, the colourful stripes on the lacquered cap and barrel pay tribute to the costumes they wore on the album covers of ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ and ‘Love Me Do’.
