Unveiling the series the handpicked portraits throughout the hotel’s grand lobby from the 20^th of February up till the 20^th of May 2020, Hotel de Rome commemorates the one year anniversary of the influential designer’s untimely death, exploring his deep personal connection with the city and the auberge.

Offering free admission to the public, Hotel de Rome remains committed to celebrating creativity and the arts, playing host to a number of exclusive exhibitions and shows since its opening 14 years ago. Housing permanent collections of over 650 authentic art pieces for guests to appreciate, the 20 iconic portraits chosen for the Lagerfeld exhibition were shot in 2002, offering an illuminating insight not only into the designer’s life but into the revered urban aesthetic of Berlin.
