New York City through the lens of Giorgio Armani glasses

Bringing the viewer on a journey through New York with the help of a pair of Giorgio Armani glasses

Focusing on ‘the art of looking’, photographers Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg of Ann Street Studio embarked on a project photographing various locations in New York City. With the help of a camera and a pair of black frame Giorgio Armani glasses, Beck and Burg urge the viewer to experience a day in the life in NYC through, quite literally, their lenses. “This past March I bought a pair of Giorgio Armani frames in Geneva, classic per usual, and I decided to put them in front of the frame. To see what I see.” The cinemagraphs that play with focus and blurring depict the unseen beauty in moments of daily life: reading the morning paper, falling leaves and the hustle and bustle of Grand Central Station. The photographers aim to emphasise ‘the importance of focusing and what we see’.
