After looking at the total number of volumes sold last year, a new list shows that the world’s favorite brand of bubbly for 2013 was .

According to a ranking compiled by The Drinks Business, the world tipped back 2,415,900 9-liter cases of Moet and Chandon champagne.

In laymen’s terms, a 9-liter case generally contains a dozen 750ml bottles.

The champagne house scored a coup when it enlisted tennis champion Roger Federer to become the brand ambassador for 2013.
