Dom Pérignon is paying tribute to the founder of Pop Art, Andy Warhol.

Inspired by Warhol’s unconventional talent when using icons to represent shapes and fun colors, Dom Pérignon has reinterpreted his legendary first bottle with a stunning Limited Edition.

The result is a unique collection of six unique bottles inspired by the famous artist’s color sets (blue, red, violet, emerald green, lilac and yellow).

A late self-portrait by “pope of pop” Andy Warhol sold for a record 32.5 million dollars at Sotheby’s in New York on Wednesday.

The stark 1986 image of Warhol’s famous face and unkempt hair was estimated to sell at between 10-15 million at the contemporary art auction.

The huge final sale value was in line with the strong demand for Warhols shown at the contemporary art auction at rival Christie’s in Manhattan on Tuesday.

The Sotheby’s sale was the highest price paid for a self-portrait by the iconoclastic artist, who died a year after the work was completed.

A multimillion-dollar collection of original work by Andy Warhol, featuring famous sports stars such as Muhammad Ali, Pele, OJ Simpson and Chris Evert has been stolen.

The works of art disappeared earlier this month from the Los Angeles home of Richard Weisman (who comes from the famous art-collecting Weisman family).

The pieces were taken from the walls of the house’s dining room, along with a Warhol portrait of Weisman (below).

A 1984 portrait by Andy Warhol of the late singer Michael Jackson will go on display at London’s O2 arena before being sold at auction in New York.

The artwork was commissioned by TIME Magazine to celebrate the record sales of Jackson’s album Thriller

Since the death of Jackson and since Warhol passed long ago, the portrait is causing fans and art investors to drool over the possibility of owning this piece of art.

The newly remodeled Grand Palais hosts “Le Grand Monde d’Andy Warhol”.

The exhibition consists of almost 150 works, some of them coming out of private collections for the first time, by pop art legend Andy Warhol.

“Warhol wanted to produce portraits that showed not just people, but a society, a whole wide world,” said Alain Cueff, curator of the show.

According to auction giant Sotheby’s, pieces by Francis Bacon & Andy Warhol have been auctioned off for the staggering figure $190 million.

Due to the large amount of cash the modern art pieces brought in, Sotheby’s is claiming a new world record for a European art auction.

The pieces that were sold included: Francis Bacon’s ‘Study of Nude With Figure In A Mirror’, which brought in $40 million & three of Andy Warhol’s self-portraits sold for $23 million.
