Banksy caused a major shock three years ago when one of his paintings were sold in an auction, as he instantly transformed it into another work of art. Now, that artwork is his most expensive work to date.

It’s been a fruitful week for Banksy. His ‘Devolved Parliament’ painting was sold by Sotheby’s for $12m and he opened Gross Domestic Product pop-up store to fend off an intellectual property challenge on his “trademark” name.
