Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils their latest AMVOX2 Transponder watch in association with the legendary British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin.

The timepiece is an update of the initial collaboration with the carmaker on the AMVOX chronographs, which first appeared in 2006.

For the new 2014 version, the AMVOX2 Transponder, Jaeger-LeCoultre has added a remote lock/unlock function that allows an Aston Martin owner to unlock his or her car from a distance by pressing the sapphire crystal of the watch, and also lets you turn on the headlights to find it in the dark.

The process works using a micro-transmitter built into the double case-back of the AMVOX2, with the antenna built into the watchface between 8 and 4 o’clock.

While previous iterations only worked with the DBS, DB9 or Rapide models, the new watch is compatible with all of Aston Martin’s current range of cars.

The watch movement comes in a titanium case with a leather strap featuring a satin-brushed steel folding clasp. The AMVOX2 Transponder, priced at US$29,500, boasts a 65-hour power reserve and and 5-bar water resistance.
