Hermès celebrates contrasting lights with its new Heure H Double Jeu
Created by skilful artisans of the Maison, the watch is equal parts practical and stylish, making them true companions to those who wear them – an enduring vision of time.
Characterized by its iconic letter H, a case design born of the mind of designer Philippe Mouquet in 1996, the new Hermès “Heure H Double Jeu” watch features the same case shape and stylized lugs as the other Heure H collection, with a dazzling twist. The last iteration saw Hermès add lacquer to its stainless steel case. This time harmonizing with the lacquered case to contrast is half a watch adorned with diamonds aplenty.
Hermès’ new Heure H Double Jeu is a Play on Lights and Shadow
While the timepiece is magnificent as it looks, the true appeal lies in its spirit. The H depicts a playful soul, disappearing and reappearing to the movement of light. And in both compositions – the vertical and the horizontal, the diamonds play a big part in either accentuating or provide subtle hints of the watch shape, a joyful sleight of hand that reinvents the spirit of the Heure H Watch.
The Vertical Heure H has 122 diamonds flanking both sides of the letter strokes, boldly enhancing the shape surrounding the lacquered dial featuring black/ white transferred Arabic numerals and Rhodium-plated hands. Meanwhile, the horizontal edition has its bottom half fully dipped in diamonds (93 on the case and 138 on the dial), softening the form with reflecting tones and luminescence.
Both versions come in colours of modern elegance – black and white, which will be reflected on either a white grained or a black Barénia calfskin straps to complete the new Heure H objet d’art. Created by skilful artisans of the Maison, the watch is equal parts practical and stylish, making them true companions to those who wear them – an enduring vision of time.
