Featuring two stunning installations: The Dior Enchanted Star and Château de la Colle Noire.

This Christmas, Dior Beauty has brought The Atelier of Dreams to Singapore’s ION Orchard, the sunny island’s premier shopping destination right in the heart of the garden city. Visitors will be delighted to catch the largest Dior enchanted star in Asia just outside the mall as well as the Château de la Colle Noire pop-up featuring three experiential spaces. Everyone is welcome to the magical world of the House of Dior this holiday season.

Standing at 15 metres in height, the Dior enchanted star takes the crown as not only the largest in Asia but also the tallest. The star is also surrounded by more than 20,000 lightbulbs, which makes it quite a showstopper along Orchard Road. An emblematic symbol of the maison, Monsieur Dior had always been fascinated with talismanic objects related to divination, the celestial and magic.

According to the press release, “One could say Dior was born thanks to a lucky Star in Mr Christian Dior’s life — it was a Star that fell in his path and propelled him into the upper echelons of haute couture and luxury.”

Inside the dazzling star is a constellation of gold figurines specially made by artist Pietro Ruffo such as animals, mythological objects and an abundance of wild flora. Speaking more about the inspiration behind the star, the artist said, “For this project, I imagined myself laying on the grass of the Château de la Colle Noire at night, looking toward the north, admiring the constellations around the North Star, the Little Dipper, the giraffe, the lynx, the dragon, Perseus, Cassiopeia… Which seem to dance in the sky. Enchanted by this sight, I can smell flowers all around me. Violet. Angelica, gardenia, Jasmine, orange blossom, frangipani, Magnolia, the scents of Rose and Myrtle — all these aromas illuminated by the constellations, bringing them to new and magical life.”

The mesmerising motif also graces the packaging of the House’s limited-edition Christmas offers like the La Collection Privee Cofrets to makeup products and iconic offerings such as J’Adore, Miss Dior and Sauvage Perfumes, Rouge Dior Lipstick and Dior Prestige skincare.

Next, is the Château de la Colle Noire pop-up. The installation is named after Christian Dior’s cherished home during the 50s, which is a floral sanctuary where the designer crafted some of his most beautiful fragrances. Visitors can enjoy a trio of experiential spaces: The Exceptional Chandelier, The Immersive Room and The Dining Hall.

The Exceptional Chandelier is the first room of the three, and it is decorated with different Dior J’Adore Eau de Parfum bottles — this is an ode to fearless women. Moving on to the next room is the Immersive Room. Stepping into this space, visitors will be in the embrace of twinkling stars that have been lightly dusted with snowflakes. Lastly, The Dining Hall is where one can discover the magic behind the maison’s gifting metier and its limited-edition holiday collection.

With AR becoming more prevalent, the starry night sky at Château de la Colle Noire comes to life in a constellation filter and visitors can get to interact with the virtual elements using their smartphones. Dior Beauty has also partnered with Singapore Post and local artist Tiffany Lovage to create three exclusive Dior stamps that visitors can use on their customised holiday greeting cards. The holiday season also calls for something sweet, and at selected timings, Dior Christmas cupcakes are available for visitors to try.
