By way of a 15 minute leisurely walk through the forests of Harads, Sweden is how you will find Treehotel’s latest addition to its extensive list of treehouse hotels. With the aim of bringing people and the unspoiled nature closer together, the 7th room hotel towers ten meters above ground, hovering amidst the neighboring pine trees.

Designed by Norwegian architecture studio Snøhetta, the hotel is built as a traditional Nordic cabin, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular views, overlooking the Lule River and Northern lights.

Balanced on twelve columns and clad with pine boards, the hotel’s design is exceptionally modern. With netted flooring and a tree which stretches up through the cabin, the 7th house blends seamlessly into its natural environment – blurring the boundaries between its perceived indoors and outdoors space with breathtaking views from every angle.

Due to its astonishing height, the 7th room is mosquito free and features a stairway with several vantage points. Its 100 square-meter room, includes five beds, in two bedrooms, a bathroom with eco-friendly shower features, skylight windows, incinerating toilets, a temperature-controlled fireplace, a built-in air-conditioner, Scandinavian wooden interiors and textiles with a burnt wood finish, plus a sustainable Rukkamoinika water system which provides 3 liters of water for washing hands.

As the name suggest, the 7th room is Treehotel’s seventh treehouse project following the success of the Cabin, UFO, DragonFly, Blue Cone and Mirror Cube which are all conveniently situated within the Harads Forest.
