Boutique private bank Bordier & Cie (Bordier) hosted an exclusive private art preview of German artist Tim Bengel’s work at its Singapore office on 3 May. The event marked Bengel’s debut in Singapore with the unveiling of ‘Marina Bay Sands’.

Commissioned by a private collector based in Singapore, ‘Marina Bay Sands’ is an artistic rendition of the titular landmark in his signature medium, sand and gold.

Bengel, who has shown in New York, Florence and Miami, is most known for videos revealing his work on YouTube, with 250 million views over half a million social media followers. “I am happy to do my first ever reveal in Singapore. I’m glad to be here for the opportunity to meet and talk to art enthusiasts in Asia”, said Bengel at the event.

The private event saw a gathering of 60 guests comprising art collectors and private clients. The Ambassador of Switzerland Fabrice Filliez and his wife were in attendance, as well as representatives from the German Embassy.

Commenting on the event, CEO and managing partner of Bordier & Cie (Singapore), Evrard Bordier said, ”We are very pleased to host an up-and-coming artist like Tim Bengel and give our clients, especially the art enthusiasts among them, an intimate experience of art appreciation where they not only get to see the work in motion, but also the opportunity to meet with the talent behind such creativity.” He added, “We are committed to giving our clients a personal, sharing experience that aligns with our values and client service.”
