If certain timepieces are classified as cult watches, the Mini Cooper, whose legend spans half a century, could be similarly labelled as a cult car. Born at the beginning of the 1960s, it rose from a small, economy-oriented vehicle to the coveted status of a collection. The acquisition of the brand by BMW in 2000 further strengthened the Mini’s luxurious appeal.

One important variation of note includes the Mini Cooper Countryman: a decently sized crossover that corresponds with the active lifestyle of today’s consumers. The model encountered a bumpy first year with criticisms here and there; nevertheless the firm managed to sell 540,000 units worldwide. The current second generation, known as the F60, enjoys a major plus.

Compared to the first generation, the F60 is 3 cm wider and a whopping 20 cm longer. Ground clearance has also been improved so you will have more fun tackling the terrain. The five-seater now features a powered tailgate with what they call the Mini Picnic Bench that folds over the rear bumper, so you can sit and take in the view in front of you. It doubles neatly as a protective device when you load and unload things.
