CAUDRELIER Charles (CHINA)
One of France’s best offshore sailors, Caudrelier made the step from success in the Solitaire du Figaro and the Transat Jacques-Vabre to play a key role onboard winning boat Groupama in 2011-12. He returned the following race as skipper of Dongfeng Race Team, writing a new chapter in China’s sailing history – and lines up with a solid, mixed crew for a third consecutive edition in 2017-18. Caudrelier is tough, honest and experienced – and he is willing to share his skills with the Chinese sailors to help progress towards a full Chinese crew in future races. Caudrelier is a merchant navy officer by trade.

EVANS Mark (CHINA)
Evans is the Managing Director of McConaghy Boats in Zhuhai. Specialists in bespoke racing yachts, McConaghy shipyard built the award-winning superyacht Adasta, and also the VO70 Green Dragon, and the first (and last) Chinese IACC entry, CHN95. The list of nautical excellence is almost endless.

FONG Nan (CHINA)
As a forward-thinking boat owner, Fong set up the Da Mei Sha Marina and Yacht Club, one of the few marinas in southern China, which can accommodate superyachts up to 40 metres long.

FOK Eric (CHINA)
As Commodore of Nansha Marina, Fok conceived and executed the first 5 gold anchor marina in China with 300 plus berths at the Human Gate on the Pearl River. Located near where the Opium Wars were fought, the marina design reflects the history of the region. Nansha Marina hosted the Guangzhou stopover of the 2017-2018 Volvo Ocean Race.

LI James (CHINA)
Li is founder of Speedo Marine in 2003. The company represents several major yacht brands in China, including the Ferretti group, Fountaine Pajot, Prestige and Jeanneau power and sailing yachts. Headquartered in Shenzhen, Speedo Marine has seven sales and service centres along the China coastline

LI Quan Hai (CHINA)

Li is a Vice President of International Sailing Federation (ISAF) and the past President of the China Yachting Association (CYA). Over the years he has been closely associated with China Cup International Regatta, and he is now Vice Director of the Chinese National Aquatic Administration Centre.

TAN Xuguang (CHINA)
Tan is the Chairman of the SHIG-Weichai Group, which acquired a controlling interest in the Ferretti Group with a total investment of €374 million and Tan becoming the Chairman of Ferretti S.p.A in 2012. The Ferretti Group retained its key management team, headquarters and production bases in Italy.

WANG Chao Yong (CHINA)
Wang is founding partner and CEO of China Equity group since 1999, a China-based independent venture capital firm focusing on the technology, media and telecommunications sectors in Greater China. As co-Chairman of China Team, the first Chinese competing team of the America’s Cup, Wang invested recently in luxury automotive and yachting with ambitious developments ahead.

WANG Jian Lin (CHINA)
As Chairman of the Dalian Wanda Group, he acquired, ownership of yacht builder Sunseeker in a deal worth £320 million in 2013, Wang then said, “We wanted to buy 30 Sunseeker yachts since we are planning to build three marinas in China. We then thought it would be a better deal if we just bought the company.”

WANG Ming Liang (CHINA)
Wang is the Managing Director of the Shanghai UBM Sino Expo International Exhibition Co, which runs the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show and also hosts the Asia Marine and Boating Awards (AMBA).

XU LiJia (CHINA)
Trained as a swimmer, “Golden Lily” began racing Optimists at the age of 10, then moved on to the Laser Radial class and won the World Title in 2006. At the London Olympics in 2012, she won a gold medal in the same class and was voted ISAF Rolex Sailor of the Year.

YANG Xinfa (CHINA)
Being active in the boat building business in China, Yang is Chairman of the China Boat Industry and Trade Association; he acts as a driving force behind the Asia Marine and Boating Awards and the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show.

ZHANG Xiaodong (CHINA)
The current President of the China Yachting Association, Zhang is a Chinese sailor who won the Silver Medal in Women’s Windsurfer in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Her appointment is welcomed by the sailing community in China, which has grown significantly in recent years.

ZHAO Xuhung (CHINA)
Zhao is the Chairman of Shenzhen-based Sundiro Holdings, which acquired 22 per cent of Sanlorenzo in 2013, and in 2015 purchased an initial 10 per cent equity in Simpson Marine with the intention to gradually increase its stake over three years.

ZHONG David (CHINA)
CEO of the China Cup International Regatta. The event is the biggest keelboat sailing event in China. The regatta is now in its 12th year and has four one-design fleets: Beneteau 40.7, ASAF Class, FarEast 28R, J/80 that are available for charter.
