The Peugeot SR1’s dashboard clock was designed by Bell & Ross to be in perfect harmony with the spirit of this avant-garde Concept Car.

The timepiece designed by Bell & Ross offers an innovative integration concept and features a unique style and materials.

The watch and its band fit neatly into the dashboard to become a temporary on-board timepiece.

Just two short years after unveiling the sporty 308 RCZ Concept at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, Peugeot has a production version, named the Peugeot RCZ, ready to debut at this year’s Frankfurt show in September.

All we can see for now are the teaser images of the compact 2+2 Coupé where its exceptional engineering design was revealed in partial.

According to Peugeot, the RCZ is the first car which does not use the usual zero or double zero numbering system.

The Metromorph concept is designed to face the evergrowing issues of metropolitan cities.

When the user is home the vehicle becomes a balcony thus addressing parking restraints and real estate value.

Voting period for Peugeot design contest 2008 is on the go !

For the fifth time Peugeot is holding their futuristic design competition. Last year the Flux, designed by 20-year old Romanian Mihai Panaitescu, won the competition and was built as a concept car and eventually shown at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show.

This year the competition was themed as “Imagine a Peugeot for the Megalopolis of Tomorrow”. The participants should take into consideration Peugeot’s stylistic codes and their projects must contain the following four aspects: environmental awareness, social harmony, interactive mobility and economic efficiency.

Entries were submitted in July and a jury has selected their 30 favorite designs so that the a popularity vote (15 August through 15 September 2008) can be held on the internet.

A top ten will be revealed on 16 September 2008. At the Paris Motor Show on 2 October 2008 Peugeot will announce the winner of the competition so that the concept can go into development for a 2009 Shanghai Motor Show in China global debut.

And now the most interesting part… The finalists with their concept car designs are presented below. Just vote for the concept car you most like on the official Peugeot site. In a week we will get to know the best 10 finalists.

Designed and developed by Istanbul designer Özkan Koral, here is another contemporary automobile design called Ozone : the future concept vehicle designed for Peugeot can be defined as a perfect fusion of accessibility and pleasure.

This eco wary future concept vehicle has created a new standard of excellence in future luxury segment vehicles.

Ozone which has semi transparent glasses runs on hydrogen fuel-cells.

The Portugese designer André Costa took another novel approach to ease of city parking and manoeuvring. His design Moovie, made for the 2005 Concours de Design Peugeot, features two huge hub-less side-wheels which are used for both driving and steering.

Check out the pictures of this futuristic Peugeot’s concept car. Each wheel is independently driven by an electric motor, allowing the Moovie to rotate on its own axis and squeeze into the tightest parking spots. To increase stability, the two side-wheels are tilted inwards under a ten degree angle.

The front-end conceals two small additional wheels which only operate as safety supports. In the future it could be possible to make such a vehicle self-balancing using gyroscopes and balance sensors.
This is already employed on the Segway scooter and is suggested for the EMBRIO one-wheeled motorcycle concept. The Moovie concept car built by Peugeot has a length of just 2,3 metres (7.6 ft) and width and height of 1,5 metres (4.9 ft). Access is created by two large sliding doors placed in the centre of the hub-less side-wheels.
