Absolute Vodka is paying tribute to Boston by creating a special edition brew just for the Hub.
The Swedish spirit maker is out with a new limited edition flavor - black tea and elderflower vodka.
The company’s marketing president said the significance of tea in Boston’s history is well known, which is why it was included as an ingredient.

There will be a new limited Absolut series available, soon. Last year’s flashy Absolut Disco series sold almost 3 million bottles ! The Swedish vodka brand, that is distributed by Pernod-Ricard (a French company) from October on, wants to tie in with last year’s success. The result: Absolut Masquerade.
The new limited gift pack Absolut Masquerade is made from 3238 shiny red sequins, and comes with a zipper in the back. When you unzip the wrapping the label states: “In an Absolut world every night is a masquerade.”
The new limited series will be promoted in European club scenes and particularly in London where Absolut Vodka and Daisy de Villeneuve will be transforming the current Maverik Showroom (68-72 Redchurch Street) into the The House of Masquerade – the world’s largest and most luxurious dressing up box.

Maxxium Global Travel Retail is to launch a new seasonal gift pack for Absolut vodka in September 2008.
The one-litre pack is made from shiny red spangles, complete with a zipper in the back. On opening the pack, the zipper slides apart, revealing the bottle. The pack is made from 3,238 shiny red sequins, while the label states: “In an Absolut world every night is a masquerade.”

The shiny red packaging was developed with design agency Family Business.
