H&M continues to build anticipation around its latest designer collaboration with storied French couture house Lanvin.
Over the past few weeks, H&M has been posting videos of designer Alber Elbaz discussing his inspiration for the line on its YouTube channel.
Starting November 2, a sneak peak video of the collection is now available on H&M’s main website.
The four-minute 25 second fashion video clip stars Hannelore Knuts, Jane Schmitt, Tati Collitar and Natasha Poly decked out in frilly Lanvin for H&M frocks.
The video takes place in a hotel and tells the story of a woman longing for a Lanvin for H&M dress so she can attend the party down the hall where the attendees are all dressed up in the collection’s cocktail dresses.
The sullen blond repeatedly slams the door in her boyfriend’s face each time he presents her with a gift that’s not a Lanvin frock, saying things like “I want Lanvin not flowers” and “I want Lanvin not diamonds.”
In the end, her dim-witted lover finally gets the hint and presents her with a ruffled strapless Lanvin number.
The Lanvin for H&M collection will be available at 200 select H&M boutiques starting November 20 in the US and Canada and starting November 23 for the rest of the world.
The capsule collection was designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver.
It features 30 pieces and 15 accessories for women and 25 pieces and 10 accessories for men.
Expect short, ruffled cocktail dresses in bright hues like canary yellow and floral print for women, and button-down shirts and blazers in neutral tones for men.
The prices will range from $9.95 for tights to $249 for dresses. Accessories will go for $19.95 and t-shirts will start at $39.95. Source: AFPrelaxnews
