WOW Thailand “Legacy 2021” Issue Out Now

Inside this “Legacy” issue, many articles revolve around how watch manufacturers leverage their historic designs when developing new products.

“When I agreed to take this job seven years ago, I made the conscious decision to provide a history-oriented theme for all September issues. I reckoned it is the best time of the year because we would have already covered novelty releases with the March and June issues; and the December issue should be reserved for something more festive and forward-looking. September seems right for deep thoughts and contemplation,” says Editor-in-Chief Ruckdee Chotjinda.

Appearing on the cover, the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar is a technically impressive watch with a deep design heritage of its own. Inside this “Legacy” issue, many articles revolve around how watch manufacturers leverage their historic designs when developing new products. Readers will appreciate how heirloom elements like the hobnail bezel on Patek Philippe Calatrava watches, the three bridges movement architecture of Girard-Perregaux tourbillon timepieces and the unique case shape of Cloche de Cartier keep classical watchmaking alive and propel it into the future.

“And as usual, we have a healthy number of interviews with top executives, as well as an expanded opinion piece between myself and the editor of WOW Singapore which has become a regular feature our fans look forward to each quarter. I hope you enjoy our September issue and see you again in December,” adds Ruckdee.
