At Chopard, we are torn between spending more time with the L.U.C collection or discussing their delicious jewelry temptations. Well, I am personally fond of perpetual calendars so I must congratulate the Fleurier manufacture on two related brand firsts: a new perpetual calendar in stainless steel and a perpetual calendar with chronograph. It is of course appropriate to look into L.U.C once more this year because it is the 20th anniversary of the manufacture in Fleurier, which was established in 1996. The multi-complication L.U.C Perpetual Chrono is actually the first time the perpetual calendar and the chronograph have existed together in a Chopard case. Even the 150th anniversary piece for Chopard itself, the All in One watch, did not feature this combination.

Here’s what the press release tells us about the L.U.C Perpetual Chrono:

An authentic collector’s watch for modern gentlemen, the new L.U.C Perpetual Chrono from Chopard combines a hand-wound chronograph and a finely crafted perpetual calendar within an unprecedented L.U.C movement, Calibre 3.10-L. The L.U.C Perpetual Chrono flaunts one of the most sophisticated styles and constructions in the world of Haute Horlogerie, while meeting the highest technical ethical and aesthetic standards. Issued in two series of 20 pieces in “Fairmined” 18-carat white gold and in “Fairmined” 18-carat rose gold, it is intended for watchmaking connoisseurs and devotees of exceptional objects
