Miami Beach Florida

If you’re looking for a destination that can reconcile world class entertainment with beach life, check out the coastal resort city of Miami Beach, perhaps the picture postcard of American beach living.

The city likes to call itself ‘America’s Riviera,’ a cosmopolitan destination that glitters with some of the world’s hottest clubs, celebrities and beach bodies.

Palm trees fringe large boulevards, which are dotted with cafes, fancy restaurants, world-class shopping and luxurious hotels.

In addition to 11 km of white sand beaches,  Beach is also home to three golf courses, 20 parks, and is a hub for arts and culture.

Think Art Basel, the premiere international and contemporary art show, and the Art Deco Historic District in South Beach.

South Beach Miami

For people watching and partying, head to South Beach. If you want to take a stroll or go for a sun-soaked run, hit the Miami Beach Central boardwalk.

According to the local tourism board, 4 pm is the ideal time to hit Lummus Park beach, as crowds will have thinned and the sun will be more forgiving.

Recently renovated, South Pointe Park at the southern tip of the city offers spectacular views of behemoth cruise ships sailing out to sea and includes a children’s playground, restaurants and a pier for fishing.
