Sunseeker is spearheading its presence at the 51st Boot Dusseldorf with the world premiere of the Manhattan 68, which has succeeded the 66 to become the new flagship of one of the British builder’s most iconic ranges.

Aiming to double the 11 models it offered in mid-2019 to 22 within three years, the Poole yard began its fleet expansion with the premieres of the Predator 60 Evo and the 62-knot Hawk 38 last September. Both new models will also be on display at Boot as part of Sunseeker’s eight-boat line-up in Messe Dusseldorf’s Hall 6.

Sean Robertson, Sales Director
at Sunseeker International, said: “We’re really excited to host the world premiere of the new Manhattan 68 at Boot Dusseldorf. The show is a real highlight of the European calendar and gives us a great platform to launch our first new model of the year.

“The Manhattan 68 is an exceptional model and underlines Sunseeker’s continued focus of listening to our client’s requests and finding real-world solutions matched with exciting ‘first-to-market’ features. The level of detailing on this new model is magnificent and we welcome guests to come and see her for themselves at the show.”

The standard layout features an expansive cockpit and a large main saloon with a galley aft. If a lower-deck galley is specified, the aft saloon space can be used as a ‘snug’ or feature bar.

Panoramic glazing ensures plenty of natural light, but just as the 60 Evo introduced a new interior look for the Predator, the Manhattan 68 features a new palate of upholstery, providing a cool, contemporary look.

New stainless-steel detailing contrasts with light fabrics to create a ‘floating’ backrest for the seating, while ceiling panels and selected furniture feature concealed lighting. Owners can even select from four lighting and entertainment modes such as Movie, Party or Night with a one-touch activation from a central Videoworks app.

The saloon features portside access to the full-beam master stateroom, a standout space with full-height headroom and optional chaise, sofa, storage or breakfast table. Options for finishes include wenge satin, silver oak, smoked eucalyptus and walnut. In the standard configuration with galley on the main deck, the yacht features four guest cabins, including two large twins and a forward VIP, all accessed by a forward stairway.

The flybridge has been designed with the integrated hard-top option in mind and features large forward sunbathing areas, a second helm, extensive seating and open space for free-standing furniture, while the wet bar includes a barbecue and fridge.

The wide bathing platform, suitable for launching a Williams 385 Turbojet, features Sunseeker’s innovative ‘Beach Club’. A hydraulic door opens to reveal an overhead rain-shower, lights and speakers, and provides storage for fenders, toys, scuba and sports equipment.

The area can feature an optional foldaway bench seat, while Seabob storage lockers adjacent to the water include built-in charging points.

The yacht has a twin-berth crew cabin with en-suite and private access through the transom, while twin engine options include Volvo Penta IPS 1350 and MAN V8 1000 or 1200.
