Luxury watch brand TAG Heuer has unveiled a new concept watch for its specially designed Tesla Roadster March 18 - and announced plans for a world tour.
To celebrate its 150th anniversary, Tag Heuer will send the Tesla Roadster around the world, leading a travelling exhibition of the brands timepieces.
At the centerpiece of the car’s console will be the Grand Carrera Pendulum, a 2010 concept watch specially designed to fit in the Roadster that was also launched at the event.
The all-electric Roadster, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, will travel some 37,000 miles — the first round-the-world tour by a zero emission GT car.

The sixth edition of the Prestigious Asia Boating Awards will be hosted this year at the Hong Kong Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club.
For the first time ever, the Asia Boating Awards, the top event of the yachting calendar in Asia, will be staged in Hong Kong at the upcoming Hong Kong Gold Coast Boat Show on May 8, 2010.
Organised by Asia-Pacific Boating and China Boating magazines, the awards recognise the best yachts globally as well as top Asia-based yacht builders, Asia-based regattas, Asian marinas and yacht clubs, best maritime city in Asia and Asia’s top yachting personality.
This is the sixth edition of the Asia Boating Awards, having being staged in Singapore and Bangkok with the last two editions taking place in Shanghai.

Kensington Palace will be taken over by British designers in a bid to lure in the masses.
The palace is at the center of a transformation project designed to make the royal residence in London more accessible to the public!
… even though the designs of Vivienne Westwood, Stephen Jones, or William Tempest — who are all involved in the project — usually aren’t.
Thought up by theater company Wildworks, the designers, joined by other UK labels including Boudicca, Aminaka Wilmon, and the illustrator Echo Morgan, are turning the residence into an Enchanted Palace through installations inspired by the princesses that lived there.

Exclusive! French actress Marion Cotillard has teamed up with Franz Ferdinand to record a song to launch Dior’s new fashion range.
Cotillard, the face of the French label, sings lead vocal on ‘The Eyes Of Mars’, written by the band.
The song will soundtrack an advert in which Cotillard plays a working woman who transforms herself into a sultry singer at night.
She emerges from behind a velvet curtain in a club to sing the song.

China is expected to be the world’s seventh largest wine consumer by 2013 as the nation’s thirst for vintages continues to grow amid an economic boom.
The country will consume around 1.26 billion bottles of wine in 2013, an increase of about 32 percent from 2009, according to findings of Vinexpo, organiser of one of the world’s largest wine and spirits exhibitions.
China was the eighth largest wine consumer last year, behind leader Italy, France and the United States in the top three spots.

For the second consecutive year, designer David Rockwell has created the Academy Award’s set, evoking “classic but modern glamour” for the 82nd Oscars.
A model and renditions that reveal the stage’s various looks were unveiled February 17 in the lobby of the Kodak Theater.
Crystals, mirrors, lights, and action are the key elements in his design.
