American designer Tory Burch unveiled her Pre-Fall 2015 collection in New York City with lots of miniskirts and check prints.

“Pre-Fall 2015 was inspired by the idea of ‘prim meets free-spirited,'” explains Burch. “We looked to London in the late Sixties, Carnaby Street and English heritage dressing, reworked in an easy and elegant way.”

The collection featured a mix of wide windowpane checks, patterned floral embellishment, velvety finishes and rich tapestry fabrics.

Cuts remained on the whole pretty sharp, short and sweet, but also flowed into lengthier looks (the aforementioned blend of prim and free-spirited).

The accessories were focused on cute, boxy bags, while footwear included some lustworthy leather boots and python block-heeled pumps (snakeskin also appeared dyed blue on bags and on a top and skirt, and also as a silk print).

To top off the Anglo-Saxon invasion came a caramel check that almost looked like a reworking of the classic Burberry tartan pattern.
