“The latest trend for luxurious interiors is ‘Nature’ and designers are now creating beautiful hand made products from raw natural materials that are also friendly to the environment.

Bathrooms International of Pont Street has responded by launching The Papillon, the ultimate bath made from stone.

This bespoke freestanding bath is exquisitely hand carved from a large block of stone by master craftsmen; the individual character of the rock as well as the inspiration of the mason transform the bath into a unique sculpture.”

It is hand-carved from Carrara marble, black granite or limestone, weighs 800kg (1,763lb) – it can be used only on the ground floor – and costs from £38,697 ($58,000).

Recognised as the leading bathroom showroom, Bathrooms International are based on Pont Street in Belgravia, London and also deal in beautiful taps made from lalique crystal, horn, ebony and hand painted porcelain.
