Four Seasons KL general manager Tom Roelens says that the pairing menu is tailor-made to bring a new dimension to the world-famous Louis XIII experience, revealing different sensations of Louis XIII to both the palate and the eyes.
Fresh ingredients, meticulous technique and unique presentation are the mainstays of the culinary union highlighting regional specialities with a focus on Cantonese cuisine.
The six-course gastronomic journey starts off with the Four Seasons Combination Platter – Foie Gras Roll, Crispy Silverfish and Deep Fried Mushroom that reveals the cognac’s smooth, rich and crisp notes; followed by the fragrant and lavish Double-Boiled Abalone and Fish Maw Soup with Morel Mushrooms and Sea Whelks.
Next up is Braised Lobster with Lily Bulbs and Truffle Oil, subtle yet sophisticated and decadent; before the fourth course of delicately exquisite Steamed Coral Garoupa Fillet with Scallion Oil.
Rounding off the savoury courses is the harmoniously flavourful Wok-Fried Fish Paste Noodles with Canadian Scallops.
To end the sumptuous experience on an even sweeter note is the indulgent Chef’s signature Dessert Duo of Homemade Pineapple Pastry and Bird’s Nest with Almond Cream served in Whole Young Coconut.
It can only be concluded that this tribute to luxury dining at the exclusive Louis XIII Room at Yun House is absolutely one to savour—now and in time to come with lingering, precious memories of a Louis XIII feast of an experience like no other.
The pairing menu is priced at RM28,888 for a table of 10 persons which comes with a Louis XIII decanter (70 cl).
Also available is a single menu option at RM3,000 for one person with two glasses of Louis XIII (60 ml).
