Nadal’s luxury watch goes missing in Paris
Rafael Nadal has reportedly lost his Richard Mille RM027 ultra-light tourbillon after his win over Novak Djokovic at the French Open.
A watch worth 300,000 euros ($375,000)Â went missing from Rafael Nadal‘s hotel room hours after he won his seventh French Open tennis title.
The Spaniard was wearing the Richard Mille watch after he beat Novak Djokovic on Monday night, but it was missing when he woke up the next morning.
The Richard Mille RM027 is a limited edition of 50 pieces – Richard Mille had lent Nadal the watch for the tournament.
Update: Paris police have recovered the watch stolen from Rafael Nadal at the hotel where he stayed during the French Open and arrested a hotel employee.
Police tracked down the alleged thief, a hotel barman, on Tuesday after tracing his hotel access badge, which was used to get into the suite in which Nadal stayed with his parents during the championship.
