The world’s first V8 engine jet ski is now available for you to spice up your summer holidays. The Strand Craft V8 Daytona GT is an adrenaline-fuelled beast that took shipbuilder Kurt Strand more than five years to make. Conquering the high seas has never been this easy.

The menacing watercraft gets its power juice from its supercharged 6.2L aluminium V8 engine, a similar engine that is also found on the Ferrari Roma. It has a sleek silhouette that calls to mind a sports coupe and can be custom-built from either fibreglass or aluminium. With a length of 5.08m and a width of 1.5m, the jet ski weighs 567kg. This makes it bigger and heavier than most average jet skis.

Nothing is mentioned regarding the speed of the Daytona GT, but with its supercharged engine, it should have no problem slicing through waves with ease.

The cabin features a 15-inch LED touchscreen display that shows all the engine functions. A premium sound system and cooler box are fitted in it so that you can keep your beers cold while cruising to your favourite tunes. Also found on the Daytona GT is a storage box that can be used to store extra gear you may need on the waters… fishing maybe?

A luxury experience is not complete without personalisation. With the Daytona GT, Strand Craft allows its customers to choose from a myriad of optional features. This includes a carbon fibre body, wood inlays, 3D gold or silver wrap, an underwater camera, and many more.

“Beautiful, powerful and luxurious. These three adjectives inspired my design for a new watercraft concept,” says designer Kurt Strand. “I wanted to create a model that marries power and speed to the grace and elegance of Strand Craft’s design heritage.”

The price of the Strand Craft V8 Daytona GT has not yet been disclosed but once it hit the waters, we will definitely be hearing about it.
