It was only a matter of time given the country’s presence gradually growing in the sphere of international cuisine – especially since restaurants situated in Singapore take up exactly one-fifth of this year’s Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Now, it seems that the inspectors are wrapping up, and the guide is finally ready for the public. Michelin announced that the first edition will be unveiled at an awards ceremony on 21 July 2016 to be held at Resorts World Sentosa.

Should you be wondering whether you favorite dining spots will make the list though, all you have to do is to consider whether they fit the guide’s criteria used by inspectors all over the globe.  Some factors that help the judges make their final decision are: quality of ingredients, mastery of techniques, projection of the chef’s personality in the cuisine, value for money, and consistency within the menu.
