Las Vegas impresario Steve Wynn has opened an all-suite hotel and casino adjacent to the Wynn Macau, mirroring his firm’s properties in Las Vegas.

Encore at Wynn Macau, which opened on April 21, consists of 414 suites and villas which Wynn describes at the “loveliest hotel in the world.”

The property includes a 205,000 square foot casino, six restaurants, 46,000 square feet of retail space, a health club and pool.

It also hosts Spa at Encore, which offers eight private therapy suites, each with their own steamroom, sauna and aromatherapy bath and shower.

The “Shopping Esplanade” is home to three signature stores-Cartier, Chanel and Piaget-and includes limited-edition pieces unique to Encore.

Although Encore is attached to the 600-room Wynn Macau, it is marketed as a separate resort and does not share the casino or restaurant facilities inside the main Wynn Macau.

The model is exactly the same as that pioneered by Wynn in Las Vegas, where the 2,034 suite Encore sits adjacent to the 2,716 room Wynn Las Vegas.

Encore is the first of several luxury hotels set to debut in Macau this year.

It is hoped that the delayed Ritz-Carlton Studio City, originally slated for a 2009 opening, could open its doors this year, whilst a a new Mandarin Oriental property is set to debut in summer.
