F1 designer Dominik Scheurer’s has created the world’s first carbon fibre chessboard.
The exclusivness here is given by the combination of high end materials, normally used in Motorsport or aerospace.
The board features carbon fiber pieces with high quality stainless steel feet, in 24 carat gold or sterling silver.

The chessboard is hand-crafted with 100% carbon combined with epoxy resin - It is then cured under pressure and high temperature.
The set comes complete with a signed certificate in an exclusive wooden box.
Limited to only 101 units, the Carbon Luxury carbon fiber chessboard sells for about 8,000 Euro ($11,300).

Ehhhh, no offence but it looks really cheap.
I think he could have done a better job with the chess pieces.
Too two-dimensional to effectively induce the reality of the game.
If these were made to be three-dimensional with the same materials
I would be sold instantly. Even for an ultra-modern environment it
would stick out like a sore thumb.

Exquisit looking chess set. Very unique in styling and material used. Not a chess set you’ll see just anywhere.
