Maserati has taken the wraps off its highly anticipated new convertible, the GranCabrio. It is the first four-seat convertible in the company’s history
The GranCabrio was designed by Pininfarina, the Italian firm responsible for the other two cars in the Maserati lineup: the Quattroporte and the Gran Turismo.
The GranCabrio is powered by a 4.7-litre V8 with 440bhp and is the convertible with the longest wheelbase on the market.

It also features a canvas-only roof to emphasise the link with Maserati tradition.
More details about the GranCabrio are likely to be released at its official introduction at the Frankfurt auto show in September.
