Jennifer Lopez is featured in the Italian automaker’s first commercial for the all-new 2012 Fiat 500 by Gucci.
The commercial, titled “Elegance,” is voiced-over by Lopez and highlights the Fiat 500 by Gucci limited edition, as Lopez drives through the streets of New York City.
The commercial parallels Chrysler Group LLC’s “Imported from Detroit” campaign, and is the third television ad Fiat has released starring Lopez.
“To bring this simple premise to life, FIAT has again turned to Jennifer Lopez, this time to help catapult the iconic vehicle into the make world,” said Olivier Francois, head of Fiat brand and Chrysler chief marketing officer.
“Lopez perfectly embodies the spirit of the Fiat 500 by Gucci, as she is living proof that effortless elegance can only be achieved through hard work.”
Despite Chrysler’s excellent marketing strategy for its new Fiat 500, the car hasn’t been doing that excellent so far.
Fiat 500 recorded through October on the North American market 21,380 sales, a lot less than what CEO Sergio Marchionne was expecting (50,000).
