Presented jointly with the Récital 12 Monsieur Dimier, Récital 15 Collection Dimier is based on the new Calibre Virtuoso II Spécialité Horlogère Dimier 1783, but not without additional technical enhancements. Like the Récital 12, this watch is characterised by its indications on a horizontal axis, but in place of a regular hour and minute dial, the watchmakers have implemented a jumping hour aperture at three o’clock paired with retrograde minutes around a semi-openworked dial. Jumping precisely and instantaneously, the retrograde hand and the hour disc are perfectly synchronised and regulated by a pair of star-wheels. The watch derives a five-day long power reserve from, again, a single mainspring precisely calibrated to deliver a constant amount of torque to the balance throughout.

Also reversible, the watch can be worn on two sides. However, this necessitates the watchmakers to ensure that not only the hours and minutes, but also the running triple seconds hand, were reverse hand-fitted. Containing all of the additional components in the 42mm case that’s just 12.8mm thick is in itself a veritable feat, and a final touch of tradition can be observed with the numerals, which are rendered in a style similar to historical pocket watches made in the 19th century by founder Edouard Bovet. Available in a choice of white or red gold (S$91,300), and only 60 of each will be made.
