Maison Martin Margiela will next month launch a trio of female fragrances inspired by its Replica fashion line that aims to capture “familiar scents and moments of varying locations and periods.”

The house’s seasonal capsule collection, Replica, is based on reproducing iconic garments and accessories from specific cultures and time periods.

In a similar fashion, the upcoming fragrance line aims to evoke memorable scents, with Beach Walk inspired by the Corsican beach of Calvi in 1972, Funfair inducing memories of a Santa Monica carnival in 1994 and Flower Market carrying the scent of fresh cut flowers at a Parisian flower market in 2011.

Formulated by perfumers Jacques Cavallier and Marie Salamagne, the Replica fragrances will retail for 75 euros each.

Notes in Beach Walk include bergamot, lemon and pink pepper, while Funfair has notes of apple and orange blossom and Flower Market freesia and Grasse rose petals.

The Replica perfumes are set to hit selected European destinations as of June, while US consumers will have to wait until 2013 for the release.
