A collaboration between luxury US department store Neiman Marcus and Nissan’s luxury imprint Infiniti will lead to 50 very special versions of the Infiniti Q60. Basically, Neiman Marcus has added a special version of the coupé to its 2016 Christmas Book.

Based on the Red Sport 400 edition Q60, this very limited edition model – just 50 examples are planned – will keep the glorious twin-turbocharged 3-liter V6 engine and its 400hp output.

However, it will be getting a number of Infiniti optional upgrades as standard. For instance, it will come with dynamic digital suspension, a Bose Performance Series sound system and the company’s range-topping infotainment system.

But the upgrades that will really make it stand out among other Infinitis and among other ideas in this year’s Christmas Book are unique touches such as the Solar Mica (think gold) external paint finish. Then there are the carbon fiber accents that dress the car’s fender vents plus the special wing mirror caps and rear spoiler.

As for its interior, the cabin is awash with Gallery white leather that covers the seats and that contrasts well with the Silver Optic Fibre trim that accents the dashboard and door panels.

Each model will have a plaque displaying its unique VIN number within the 50-model series as well as a letter of authenticity. The final elements of exclusivity are a special ivory leather weekender bag and a Neiman Marcus-branded car cover (for use indoors only).

“The Neiman Marcus Christmas Book is an iconic part of the holiday season for luxury brands,” said Allyson Witherspoon, director, Marketing Communications and Media at Infiniti Americas. “We were very excited for this exclusive Q60 to be the Fantasy Gift and worked closely with Neiman Marcus to bring it to life.”

The car will retail for $63,000 and for each edition purchased, Infiniti will donate $1,000 to Neiman Marcus’s charity foundation.

Anyone interested can find the car on page 128 of this year’s Christmas Book and can start placing their orders from November 2.
