It’s in movies, around your neighborhood and perhaps even in your garage, from collecting models, playing pretend and eventually driving their own – men and their testosterone-fueled love for high-performance cars have become a seemingly inseparable entity and quite an endearing sight to see. While not all are blessed with the liberty to trade cash for a new ride every so often, this Father’s Day, brands such as Rolls-Royce, LEGO, and Swarovski reminisce childhood with a series of prestigious toy cars.

Artificial but certainly not to be underestimated, these miniature imitations cost a bomb and are almost as good as the real thing. Displaying unparalleled level of detail, the iconic Rolls-Royce Cullinan 1:8 scale model car, is not only a faithful reproduction of a full-size Cullinan, but a beautiful work of art in its own right. Hand-assembled from over 1,200 individually crafted components, every element of this model from its engine down to the tread of each tire, represents an effortless expression of timeless luxury, with fully functioning exterior and interior lights, opening and closing coach doors, a luggage compartment and opulently finished interior. Worth at least $17,000, this Rolls-Royce comes in two specific styles – ‘Bespoke’ and ‘Hero’.

If it’s not cars and games, it’s comics. Merging an imaginative young boy’s three childhood attachments, Swarovski presents a detailed representation of the legendary Batmobile with a luxurious twist. Coated black with rubber tires, polished metal details, and embellished with over 16,000 hand-set crystals using the Pointiage technique, this highly exclusive crime-busting vehicle, sparkles relentlessly whilst showcasing a refined design. Intended for decorative purposes only, the $8,900 car which measures 23/4 x 105/8 x 51/2 inches, should be handled with special care to maintain the best possible condition over an extended period of time.

Undoubtedly one of the most iconic and successful toys of all time, the Danish toy production company based in Billund, is best known for the manufacturing of interlocking plastic bricks known as Lego. Having built both several amusement parks (and in some cases, monumental cities) around the world, and in homes, the brand has always promoted creativity in every release.

While innumerable enthusiasts, have proven crafty with their awe-inspiring freestyle builds, Lego is quick to provide inclusivity with in-depth instruction manuals for as many out-of-this world ideas. Conceptualising a tremendously authentic-looking Lego Technic 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, in conjunction with Porsche, this 2,704 piece-kit comes complete with a 578-page manual, four boxes of neatly compartmentalised parts meant for the intricate construction of the drivetrain, chassis, frame, and body. Measuring 24 inches long and 6 inches high with opening doors and an engine lid, plus fully functional suspension, steering, and flappy-paddle gearbox – the Technic 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is arguably one of the most complex Lego devices to ever exist.
