Versace For H&M Fashion Event

While a fashion show in New York Tuesday night showcased the upcoming Versace for H&M line, a website in China has been claiming to offer the collection online.

On November 8 models including Daphne G, Natasha Poly and Lindsay Wixson showcased pieces from the range at a special launch.

The upcoming partnership evokes various key styles from the Versace archive including silk-crêpe dresses, multi-colored panel print gowns and the classic studded leather jacket.

Men will be able to invest in suits, printed jumpers and print shirts, as well as studded leather jackets and pants.

This week, a Chinese website called Germany Street has been alleged to be offering the Versace for H&M line, despite it not hitting stores until later this month.

Counterfeit versions of fashion lines have been in the news of late, with TV show Good Morning America recently documenting the problem, of counterfeit designer wedding dresses.

High-end designers have been collaborating with high street brands increasingly in recent years, and the limited-edition nature of such partnerships mean counterfeit copies often ensue.

H&M has previously collaborated with Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Comme des Garçons, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel, and Lanvin.

The genuine Versace for H&M collection hits 300 stores worldwide and online on November 17.
