Saint Laurent Rive Droite is collaborating with photographer Jeanloup Sieff to host an exhibition in its stores for Paris Photo 2021.

The late photographer’s works are memorable from his black-and-white fashion images to his portraits of landscapes, politcians, and well-known artists. His style was sensual, and modern, inspired by 1950s filmmakers.

Sieff always had a special relationship with Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent, and even did a nude portrait of the couturier in 1971. The portrait goes beyond the history of the house and has become emblematic of contemporary culture beyond fashion and eras.

It is Sieff’s nude portraiture and vision of women, seen as the poetry of infinity and the magic of spaces and nature, that inspired Saint Laurent‘s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello, to do the exhibition.

The Saint Laurent Rive Droite line was birthed by Vaccarello, located at 213 Rue Saint Honoré in Paris, and at 469 Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. The name “Rive Droite” was was inspired by the house’s rive gauche line that helped democratise fashion and luxury in the sixties.
