At the next edition of Baselworld in Basel, Switzerland (March 27 – April 3), Alpina will present its latest tribute to aviators: the Startimer Pilot Sunstar.

Alpina Startimer Pilot Automatic Sunstar

Alpina is known for its close ties to the aeronautical sector, for which it has designed several watches. Following in this tradition, the latest timepiece from the Swiss brand was designed specifically to professional airplane pilots.

The Startimer Pilot Sunstar features a 44mm satin-finish stainless steel case enclosing an anthracite sunray-finish dial, which calls to mind the metallic appearance of airplane dashboard instruments.

Another feature inherent to the world of aviation: large, luminous numerals and indices and luminous white hands for instant readability.

Equipped with the AL-525 mechanical self-winding movement, this watch is waterproof up to 100m and has a 38-hour power reserve. The Startimer Pilot Sunstar indicates hours, minutes, seconds and date.
