
Japanese luxury auto brand Lexus finally revealed the LF-LC sports coupe concept at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
The all-new design pushes Lexus further into sports car territory and could provide a rival for established names such as Porsche if approved for production.
With a low profile, large wheels and futuristic running lights, the LF-LC is clearly designed for ‘serious’ drivers, with quad exhaust pipes and tail lamps inspired by a jet afterburner at takeoff.

Jaguar has released new details of a hybrid sports model it is working on as a potential successor to the legendary E-Type.
The new C-X16 two-seater uses a new 3.0-liter V6 engine along with a 70kW hybrid motor and is described as an ‘exploration’ of future performance hybrid options.
Using a combination of gasoline and batteries, the C-X16 offers a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds, with an electric-only top-speed of 50 mph (80 km/h)


Iconic American luxury auto brand Cadillac has unveiled its new hybrid concept, described as an “expression of Cadillac’s historical grandeur.”
The Ciel concept, which will be on show at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, is a four-seat convertible powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine, paired with hybrid drive.
Designed to fit in with the touring cars on display at Pebble Beach, the model is “about the romance of the drive,” says Cadillac-owner General Motors, featuring generous room for two couples across two rows.

A hybrid Lexus has been chosen as the official royal wedding car of Prince Albert of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock next month, the automaker has revealed.
A customized LS600h Landaulet with a transparent polycarbonate roof has been specially constructed for the occasion to allow guests to get a look at the couple during the event, scheduled for July 2.
It was dismantled to allow for the fitting of the 26kg roof, a special addition to the model, which will eventually go on display at the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco.

Jaguar is to put its hybrid supercar concept into production, it announced May 6.
The British luxury marque will begin building the C-X75, originally shown as a concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, as part of a limited-edition run of 250 models.
The C-X75 was one of the stars of last year’s Paris show, packing futuristic twin turbine generators which weighed 50 kg each to power its four electric engines and reach a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).

Prince Albert II of Monaco has awarded a royal warrant to Lexus as Official Supplier to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince of Monaco.
Confirming his commitment for more environmentally friendly solutions, he has decided to use a Lexus hybrid car at the occasion of his marriage to Miss Charlene Wittstock on Saturday 2nd July 2011.
This Lexus LS600h has been specially outfitted with the royal flag, “MC 01″ license plate and flashing lights.
