Since joining Givenchy as the creative director in 2005, Riccardo Tisci has repeatedly pushed boundaries with his clothes and catwalk shows.

Now the designer has caused controversy once more by casting transsexual Lea T in his advertising campaign for autumn/winter, WWD reports.

Lea T., formerly known as Leo, is also Tisci’s longtime personal assistant and former fit model.

Tisci had nothing but good things to say about Ms. T. “She’s always been very feminine: superfragile, very aristocratic. She’s part of the family.”

Eaudemoiselle and Dance with Givenchy will both become available this spring.

While both fragrances seem to be targeted at younger women, the advertising and packaging makes reference to the brand’s history.

Founder Hubert de Givenchy’s muse Audrey Hepburn was a ballet dancer, and Eaudemoiselle is meant to embody his aristocratic identity.

According WWD, Lady Gaga will perform at a New York Fashion Week launch party for the new Givenchy Play men’s fragrance at The Box on September 15th!

The event is being hosted by Out magazine. Lady Gaga is also rumored to perform at Marc Jacobs’ party the previous Monday evening.

Givenchy have created a photo full of personality with photographers Inez & Vinoodh.

Mariacarla, the undeniable star of the brand’s ad campaigns, is accompanied by Lara, Lakshmi and Ana Claudia.

The energetic ad campaign is the perfect accompaniment to the collection created by Riccardo Tisci. Its style combines a remake of the legendary western with Parisian glamour, and they’ve named it ‘Western bondage’.
