Korean company Yujin Robot has been showing off a coffee barista robot that delivers your coffee with precision and with complete politeness.
For those who believe that technology and robotics will make their life a lot easier than at any time in the past, this is probably something that would not really surprise you.
Although details are sparse the robot has already been given the catchy name CAFERO and has been making the rounds at Robot World 2008, which is currently running in Seoul. There is no date set or even price tag on CAFERO yet. (Photos : Aving)

NEC today announced in Japan it has teamed up with Sanrio (the company behind the Hello Kitty brand) and French fashion designer Courrèges to develop a girls-only notebook for the Japanese market.
Moving away from the obvious looks and concentrating on what lies inside, the notebook is powered by an AMD Athlon QL-60 processor (1.90GHz), a 13.3-inch WXGA screen (1280×800 resolution), a DVD drive, 2GB of main memory and a 160GB hard disk.
The so-called “NEC LaVie G Hello Kitty Courrèges” will be available online and in selected Sanrio shops only. The Nippon-only notebook will be available from October 25 (price: $1,100 without MS Office).
If you’re in the market for a different kind of laptop system – check out the Singulum laptop system.
Each Singulum system is crafted out of a single block of wood and features a keyboard made out of either ivory of 24 carat solid gold (be careful if you select the ivory as many countries including the US have a strict ban on ivory imports).
Now some of their product pictures on their website seem to infer that there’s a single piece of diamond used like a trackpoint pointer..

Good thing the new iPod Touch and 4th gen Nano come in 24ct and 18ct white gold now. The Nano starts at £349 ($640) while the second generation Touch starts at £449 ($820).
Although you can purchase a brand new gold iPod or iPhone, Goldstriker will also take an iPod or iPhone you’ve already purchased, encase the gadget in gold and get it back to you in 48 hours.
For those with golden parachutes, only !

Gresso introduced exclusive flash drives Enigma, which come in two versions: Constellation and the Labyrinth.
The Gresso Enigma gives you 192 GB of memory because it holds three flash cards of 64 GB each. Cases are made of two-hundred-year old African black rosewood, and, according to the press release “plenty of fancy diamonds embraced in 18K yellow or white gold.”
Producer alleges that the series will include only 99 items and they sell for 5,000 euros each (average cost of usual flash drives is $300-$400 ^_^ ). Each comes with a rubber strap so it can be worn as a pendant.
